The world has brought complex challenges and disheartening moments to this year’s BA Interior Architecture and Design graduates at UCA Canterbury. To some, this might have been seen as a dead end, but to our graduates these challenges were seen as a new network of uncharted paths to be discovered.

During their final year of studies, their work has formed narratives which draw on real world models and combine elements of science fiction and fantasy. Speculating about our future world, exploring fictional lands and places, only to find that some of their fictional elements are now facts of our reality.

This year’s graduates are our greatest future designers and thinkers, with unique values and abilities to contribute in building a new future of design, with meaning and humanity.
