Theme

My work is in the form of a Leporello or concertina book depicting a semi-biographical science story about Henri Fabre, a French entomologist. I have explored illustration visually and physically providing an intimate and sensory experience with nature. It has been created using drawing and different printing techniques of linocut and mono printing using a small colour palette to emphasise the contrast of Fabre’s harsh life with his love of insects.
