Baker’s practice involves constructed images with either personal and political agendas. Previous works have examined ‘home’ and diaspora, mental health, and failing social systems. Baker’s current work features collaged representations of her nightmares. A fear of these nightmares caused Baker to seek power over them, prompted by a hope that an understanding of her subconscious mind and its anxieties can be used as a tool when defining stress and fear in the waking world.
