My graduate fashion print collection titled ‘PACK LIGHTLY’ is a capsule travelwear collection formed of mix’n’matchable garments that are intended to be worn on-the-go comfortably.
I love leading a busy life, taking trips to new places often to experience new things. As a result, I find myself using public transport often, especially in London where I have grown a great appreciation for TFL design. My textile prints feature familiar landmarks associated with travelling; train platforms and underground tube carriages, as well as crowds of people and tartan moquette-inspired seating.
I tend to do my thinking on public transport. Sat staring out the window, it’s easy to get lost in your thoughts for a bit with less distractions around. With more people suffering with anxious thoughts like myself, I wanted my project to resemble one of my coping mechanisms; travelling. Being able to pause and and practise mindfulness allows me to not get overwhelmed by things and maintain a balanced outlook.
