The *C Word

An exploration of locally abundant materials. Designing with a circular intention. Focusing on locality and abundance, rather than the green washed fable of sustainable design. Designing using circular methodology means the end of the material lifecycle is just as important and in focus as the beginning.

This experimental research and material development focuses on the materials abundant to The Isle of Sheppey in the Thames Estuary. Helen used kitchen apothecary to develop concepts for interior usage.

The materials are displayed in an archaeological style showing how they all link together in form, function, and origin.
