Middle school students in China are facing great pressure to pursue higher education, and due to the generally negative view of vocational education in society, most students and parents tend to choose ordinary high schools rather than vocational high schools, believing that this is the only way to ensure future success. This kind of social cognition has resulted in serious fierce competition in education. The project aims to reveal the relationship between secondary school students’ pressure to attend school and society’s general prejudice against vocational education.
