Reminiscence is a projection-mapping wire sculpture installation which explores transhumanist perspectives on the body. Human beings are currently evolving and advancing alongside technology; “the natural and artificial are no longer relevant in this polymorphous, information system” (Haraway, 1985:300). How will the next era of humans look, fossilised, to a future post-human species? Perhaps more than the mere skeleton will be preserved, and our predecessors may look back at the very essence of what it once meant to be human: consciousness. Wire shadows of memories and life flicker inside the fossilised remains symbolising the ‘soul’. The bones are silver wires, synonymous with technological infrastructures similar to our once organic bodies.
