When I began looking at the urban environment I was shocked by how many elements of natural spaces were subconsciously influencing my artwork. From dilapidated buildings to bus stop shelters my work was being dictated by my surroundings. This was when I realised that my art could quite literally be part of my urban environment. I wanted to photograph and capture the art of the streets that would usually be ignored.
After a lot of experimenting and playing with ideas I came across the idea of merging multiple images together using software such as Photoshop and then working over these collated pieces. To display my work I created a small zine with all pieces enclosed inside. I named this project ‘Urban Abstract Photography’.
