For my final piece, I want to make a 3D tactile texture fabric, primarily for skirts to better reflect the overall sense of the fabric. Since I have never studied fashion design myself, my original intention was to design fabrics. But later, I thought of a simple method. Based on the hand-drawn drawings of dynamic mannequins, I painted a basic skirt style that I wanted. With this, I can design the fabric shape I want on this hand drawing. I used Photoshop’s cutout skills to cut out random shapes and add pictures of bark texture to the vacant areas. But the result is a 2D plane. Later, I used some embroidery skills that I tried before to select a sample suitable for the garment and substitute it into the final fabric reasonably. In the end, I presented a series of different styles and patterns for skirts.
