‘The Age of Innocence’. I want to celebrate the whimsical approach that my six-year-old daughter- Tatiana, has to life. My project evolved from ‘The Many Faces of Tatiana’, to expressing only the joyful emotions. My stitched banner, shows the pleasure of dancing, jumping in muddy puddles and playing. I created a fabric cube, symbolic of a cot mobile, which displays all her childhood dreams- riding a unicorn, touching a rainbow and being a princess. The loose threads on my work, represent motherhood, as there is no handbook to follow. Live in the moment! “I invite you to explore my art; feel the textures; give the cube a light shake and hear it rattle. Maybe even taking you back to a happy childhood memory.”
