‘Questions of Mortality’ is a mixed-media series exploring how emotion affects an artists relationship with materials, the boundaries between art and artist and the impact this has on the design process.
These final outcomes are a physical translation of Bolton’s experience with grief – the organic forms reflecting the abstraction of memory, and the artists dependency upon making.
