The small selection of work I am showing has been made during my one year foundation course. The majority of the works are for my most recent end of year project titled ‘Encapsulation’, with this broad brief I explored feelings and forms that the word represents to its full extent. The project came about during a visit to Chinatown in SoHo, this was after seeing the captivity of living sea creatures that are bound and trapped awaiting their inevitable death. Seeing this in person impacted me to the point that I devoted much of my time attempting to recreate this state of being into a workable concept. Having this artistic freedom to design my own project allowed my work to have diversity and varying styles that I really enjoyed trying.

Please feel free to contact me in regards to my work or for any questions you have, I’d be happy to talk.

'Smiling from the inside' Oil on canvas. Final piece for my 'Encapsulation' project. After experimenting with ways to represent a feeling of encapsulation, I became interested in glass and the nature of the material. The painting depicts smiling rubber figures gazing out of their sealed jar enclosure with a mordacious expression.
