My project revolves around the Chinese legend, ‘The Red String of Fate’ in which it states that two people, destined to be together, are tied by an invisible red thread that will inevitably pull them together and result in the pair becoming one.
While the main aim of my work was to promote the comfort and joy the legend may bring, I also wanted to emote this ‘predetermined destiny’ in a slightly darker light that, as a viewer we might not expect from such an innocent motif.
