For my FMP I chose the brand Dries Van Noten and for my personal concept I chose flowers from Thailand. The concept inspiration for this collection is Thai culture and nature. This collection is heavily influenced by Thai flowers, particularly the Lotus and the Ratchaphreuk also known as the the golden shower tree. In this collection both the flowers are used as embroidery on the garments. The techniques used for both the embroidery is different, the lotus embroidery has been done using a thin crochet needle and the ratchphruek has been done using different shades of gold metallic thread. Both the garments have been done by individual people so that the work stays consistent throughout. These garments have been made by craftsmen from Bangalore, India.
