The brand Adity Rao originates from the idea of escaping from reality and coping by narrating a story through visual art concepts. In 2024, the brand developed glimpses of its first SS25 collection, ‘ Blue and Pink’.
The collection being autobiographical, admires the masculine and feminine energy of a past acquaintance, observing the passage of time through changing characters from within. To understand the fragility of the present, the identity of oneself in others, and how norms turn into perspective. It takes inspiration from Sylvia Plath using powerful imagination for love being source of blessing and curse, Van Morrison’s idea about escapism and salvation, style icon David Hockney’s liberated thought, societal norm-provoking paintings, and eccentric grandpa-core aesthetic. The collection explores the carefree and peculiar south of London.
