Vida – FMP Project
Artificial plants are a silent yet constant source of harmful waste. The plastic industry is one of the most polluting on the planet, not only because of its dependence on fossil fuels, but also for the long-term environmental damage it causes. While plastic is necessary in certain fields, using it to produce purposeless, decorative objects like artificial plants is difficult to justify. Over 95% of a single artificial plant is made of plastic, and one is sold globally every three seconds.
In response, Vida advocates for replacing these objects with real, easy-care plants that not only decorate but also purify indoor air. Supported by a NASA study, the brand promotes five natural alternatives capable of filtering harmful, invisible pollutants present in indoor spaces. Its mission is to raise awareness about the environmental and health impact of artificial plants, while proving how simple it is to care for real, health-enhancing options.
To connect with a young, trend-driven audience — the demographic that consumes the most artificial plants — Vida combines bold, creative graphic design with purpose-driven messaging. The campaign includes striking posters, fashionable T-shirts and a mobile app that helps users identify their plastic plants and discover sustainable, low-maintenance natural alternatives. Vida merges design, technology and sustainability to inspire conscious choices and reduce unnecessary plastic waste.
