My project focusses on a reimagining of The Skilful huntsman by the brothers Grimm. This includes a costume inspired by the huntsman spider in a very futuristic and superhero type way. Complete with an armoured bodysuit, a cape, utility belt and a mask, I wanted to capture the essence of both the spider and the hunter in a very organic yet militaristic way. The armour pieces were made by sculpting, molding and finally casting individually in urethane rubber before being carefully glued onto a three dimensionally painted bodysuit.
