Under the theme of ‘Growing Wild’, this subject explores the life status of urban marginalised groups in neglected spaces through the multimedia design of books, fonts and sculptural installations. Using plant metaphors as the visual language, the exhibition presents the strength of their tenacious growth and calls on the society to see again those individuals who ‘exist but are not seen’. This project attempts to break the boundaries of the mainstream visual system’s definition of ‘normal’ and ‘legal’, and rebuild society’s awareness and concern for the ‘marginalised’ in the city.
