Chuhao Mai

This project takes “burnout” as its theme and, from the dual perspectives of patients and doctors, showcases the damage that burnout causes to the brain, heart and nervous system through the simulation of medical records, CT images and patient diaries.

In terms of visual style, I attempted to combine the layout of hospital archives with entwined line illustrations, symbolising the complex and hard-to-sort psychological and life pressures of weariness. In terms of material application, I adopted coated paper, transparent sulfate paper and film roll to enhance the layering and interactivity of the work.

The overall design not only hopes that the audience can intuitively understand the harm of burnout, but also aims to draw people’s attention to physical and mental health.
