How do we as people depict emotion in art? Is the key motivation behind my portrait work as it allows me to express my creativity in a more personal way. My paintings are done with Acrylic paint where I start with the abstract side of the painting and move on to the more detailed parts around the facial features to evoke emotion with in the viewer. The detail of the eyes act as a bridge from me as the artist to the viewer of my work. Through the process of making, my paintings also allow me to express my emotions.
