Dopamine Hits addresses social media addiction and its effects on our relationships with others. Spurred by Graves’ regret at her own high levels of screen time (time not spent with family and friends) growing up, the work uses chiaroscuro lighting to suggest the negative impacts of excessive use of social media apps. Variations in colour are designed to mimic the branding of platforms like Facebook and TikTok.
