Theme

In my final major project, I have created a series of environmental  concepts based on the mythical symbolism of the raven through the theme ‘Journey’. Common folklore suggests that the raven was a symbol of death, however I have chosen to illustrate how it was perceived as a messenger, able to transgress the veil between worlds and guide us on a journey of transformation. I mainly focused on environmental concepts, instead of character design, I want the audience to go on the journey. This project was an opportunity to begin a narrative that I will later develop and to combine all that I have learnt, whilst also challenging me for the final time by illustrating landscapes something that I wanted to improve upon.
