My final major project outcome is a 1:1 scale set for children’s theatre for the short story ‘The kingdom under the sea’ by Joan Aiken. I designed a set where everything could be scenic painted as this is what I wanted to specialise in. I designed this set in my minor project for the six different locations in the story and chose a section from my favourite location I designed for to create to life scale. My inspiration for this project was 17th century style waves. I have included an image of my final major project outcome and an image of my favourite design from my model box in 1:25 scale ‘the caverns’. I have also included other works I’ve done such as, a group project where we recreated David Hockney’s ‘Sur la Terrasse’ painting to a 1:1 scale set and the set from the student graduate film ‘Elijah’s Walls’ which I was one of the art assistants for. Alongside these are some fake food props I made and painted.
