‘Body Clock on GMT+8’ is a print zine that documents a single day split across two time zones, featuring a Kuala Lumpur night market running on local time and the daylight hours in London, seven hours apart. Each spread pairs a real moment from the KL night market with a candid moment from London captured at the same clock instant, marked by a red analogue timestamp on every image, proving the simultaneity rather than just gesturing it.
The mismatch becomes the core of the zine: a dense, crowded night set directly against the mundane pace of an ordinary day, two versions of the same hour that will never physically meet. It records a specific, involuntary habit, the act of still observing a hometown’s clock while living inside another city’s. A project revolving around the abstract theme of displacement, this zine documents the small repeated act of checking another time zone.
