In ‘Before Lights Out’ we meet a lonely dog on a lamplit road. A mysterious spaceman arrives, and together they travel towards the moon.
For my graduation film I wanted to walk the line between 2D and 3D aesthetics. I blended textures made in photoshop with animation and modelling in Blender, to give the film a loose, painted feeling.
The film explores the relationship between the spaceman and the dog, and uses this new painterly style to help tell their story.
