《Garden Glyphs》
Inspired by people’s pursuit of auspicious symbolism many believe that specific flowers and motifs can bring blessings and protection to their homes. In this typographic design series, I merged traditional Feng Shui culture with floral elements, assigning each letter a flower with symbolic meaning, such as osmanthus representing prosperity, orchids embodying elegance, and pine trees signifying longevity. Through visual storytelling, I aim to evoke a sense of harmony between nature and language while conveying positive wishes. The final works are presented as a booklet, book, and poster series, serving both as decorative art and an immersive experience into the charm of Eastern aesthetics.
《Breath in Fractions》
This project draws inspiration from my grandfather, a fighter who once battled lung cancer but ultimately triumphed over it. His story made me realize that even the most daunting illnesses can be managed or prevented through early awareness and medical intervention. Structured as an illness diary, it documents his journey alongside medical insights, hoping to demystify lung cancer, ease fears, and inspire patients to face treatment with courage. The outcome includes a documentary style journal and poster series, blending raw emotion with vital information to advocate for lung health and remind us to cherish every breath.
These two projects explore cultural symbolism and health advocacy respectively, using design to deliver warmth and resilience. I hope viewers can find both beauty and hope in these works, reflecting on their deeper connections to life.
