Containment Series

Folded aluminium sheets, formed into box-like structures, feature printed imagery of human bodies. The material properties and nature of aluminium define the work’s visual language. Mirrored surfaces merge reality with ideal, inviting viewers to align their bodies with the printed figures and reflect on modern architecture’s promise of order against the chaos within.

Containment Series

Containment necklace I, a perforation is made at the highlight of the eye, revealing a box whose interior is lined with mirror.

Containment necklace II: an unfolded eye-shaped box, its interior containing a folded face. Through the front mirror, the viewer’s gaze aligns with the eye inside the box.

Containment necklace III: a mouth-shaped box with a mirrored interior. When worn, the mirror makes the wearer aware that their lips are closed rather than smiling.

Containment brooch set: a folded finger box and a fingertip box. When worn together, the two fingers can never collide or touch.
