Desert war, distant memories
On the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War Two, this project reflects on the role of my grandad during the war, focusing on the desert campaign of North Africa (1942- 1943) and his service as a Desert Rat. I have developed artwork that illuminates my grandad’s experiences during the war, using personal photographs and archive material.
