‘And All Day Long You’ll Have Good Luck’ is about common British superstitions that Mount has grown up with. It highlights their weirdness as each image reveals a hand based superstition in the form of a collage to exaggerate these repetitive habits. The plaster sculptures are made from casts of Mount’s own hand and the text that runs between the images are quotes from Mount’s discussions with friends and family about superstitions. The title of the work comes from a saying Mount’s mother would say every time they found a penny on the ground “Find a penny, pick it up and all day long you’ll have good luck”.
