This project transforms a space into a vibrant, culturally rich environment that celebrates Canterbury’s Roman history through mosaic art while bridging its legacy with modern design. Guided by objectives such as historical reflection with modern elegance, sustainability, and subtle references to Roman architecture, the design integrates handcrafted mosaic techniques with contemporary methods like digital vectorization and laser cutting. The open, flowing layout draws inspiration from Roman spatial organization, while modern technologies—smart lighting, climate control, and sound systems—enhance usability. Ultimately, the project emphasizes the enduring value of artisanal craftsmanship, proving that the future of interior design lies in balancing innovation with heritage.
