Under the Touch of Giants is part of a wider academic and personal investigation into queer-male attraction and desire. The work (darkroom prints and a photobook) parallels depictions of Greco-Roman statues alongside a contemporary, non-mythologised masculine body as to challenge antiquated understandings of masculinity. The colour prints emphasise touch and desire (with Togher-Prescott and his partner as the subjects); whilst the book uses double-exposures where the boundaries between flesh and stone blur. These draw from reality, Greco-Roman figures, and an archive of eroticised depictions of masculinity.
