EVERY BODY: A New Canvas for Fashion

This project explores the intersection of body positivity and South Asian beauty standards through fashion photography that is both narrative and activist in its intent. In a region where cultural ideals of beauty have long favored slim frames and light skin, this work seeks to challenge and reimagine those norms. Central to the project is the casting of a plus-size South Asian model—a decision that is not only aesthetic but also symbolic, aiming to disrupt the dominant visual lexicon of Indian fashion imagery.
