Sasha Edwards-Stoner

Primarily, my current work has been centred around the value of objects. I’ve delved into this by making sculptures using ceramic, solder and found objects. I have been exploring themes of functionality, with a particular interest in the value of craftmanship and the handmade. My work rejects modernist principles like ‘form follows function’, with some of my pieces being entirely useless objects, their sole purpose being beauty.
