House Edge is a digital fashion and short film project exploring Dissociative Identity Disorder through the metaphor of a rigged casino — “the house always has the edge.” Four alters (Wildcard, Jack, Dealer, and the Dead Man’s Hand fracture state) are realized as MetaHuman characters with garments built in CLO3D, each visualizing a distinct facet of the psychological system. The film deliberately leans into the “scary split personality” trope familiar from horror cinema, using it as a hook to expose a more urgent, under-represented reality: the frequency and damage of misdiagnosis. House Edge asks not “is she dangerous,” but “was she ever heard correctly at all.”
