My practice evolves around my love for flowers and ceramics. It is nature based. The materials and techniques I use evolve towards the making of sculptural installations. I use the beauty of nature to create art. My fondness for texture and the handling of materials allows me to enjoy the processes of making natural sculptures.
Through questioning the relationships between florals and ceramics, discovering similarities between the two materials, both fragile, delicate, and intricate. I use my collected knowledge to sculpt new abstracted forms bringing a new sense of life within the artwork. Each of the ceramic sculptures celebrates the beauty of these sensuous impressions of the flowers, encouraging a moment to stop and appreciate the delicacy of nature.
