The imperfection of perfection

This collection combines mother of pearl with optical illusion in order to consider ambiguous definitions of perfection and imperfection. Mother of pearl is not as cherished, as valued, as the more perfect pearl. The aim here is to challenge traditional attitudes towards the perfect/ imperfect within wearable jewellery by interpreting materials in another way, towards a co-existence.
