My work is predominantly preoccupied with sound as a visual and contextual stimulus. Through large-scale, black line sculptures, my work interprets spoken word as sound waves that adapt to the shape of the space or wearer. By identifying ‘sound’ as bodily in its nature as what was once speech, and existing as jewellery removed from form, my work questions whether jewellery must always be adornment.
