I am a contemporary designer specialising in printed textiles. My work is lead with a strong sense of pattern that combines hand and digital techniques. My pieces typically follow a conceptual narrative that brings together well researched from pop culture, film and media. My prints consist of playful yet sophisticated imagery that aim to inspire a sense of enjoyment that is transferable from maker to viewer.
My Final Major Project takes inspiration from the debut poetry book by Lana Del Rey, Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass and the bold cover art by Erika Lee Sears. My patterns include subject matter that we are often surrounded by in order to elevate the everyday. I aim to induce a sense of romantic nostalgia since each person can find a connection within my textiles that showcase the relationship between digital and analogue printing methods.
