My final project titled ‘Nonna’ is centred around my extensive Sicilian family history, and the journey of my late great grandmother from Sicily to Chicago in the early 1900’s. It explores how she established herself as a female immigrant and made a life for her family. This animation uses mixed media to reveal the nostalgic sentiment of the period.
