My research explored materials and utilitarian basketry, pushing boundaries of the vernacular. Living on four continents enriched my creativity, learning basketry in the Pacific Northwest. The Textiles MA shifted my focus. Can traditional craft skills inspire contemporary forms? Nature’s influence reflected in colours & structures I worked with. Samples catalogued my explorations. The Major Project selects preferred techniques & materials to create exploratory configurations.
