Through the years, I have focused on developing an illustration and graphic design practice, in which nature comes up as an inspiration frequently. I express this work through an eclectic style, combining traditional drawings with digital editing to create unique effects.

Protecting Our Fragile Nature

This project involves unpacking the question: Why is society driven to protect certain species over others? I have researched ignorance towards ‘uglier’/less popular animals and explored the ways environmental organisations operate, for example, the IUCN, with a critique of these institutions. The work raises awareness of this subject and provokes more questions about the connections between ecology and psychology, and the way the ‘right’ appearance can increase survival rates.

The project not only highlights ecological problems but also expresses the fragility of nature and its momentariness.
