Alienor Sarrazin

Sarrazin’s project centres on trauma as a key concern within her practice. She investigates how trauma has been used in art, resulting in a series of photographic works that articulate healing from active trauma as a non-linear and unstable process, challenging linear representations of healing. Sarrazin uses the act of creating to process trauma, where material disruption reflects its impact as emotional regulation and reclaiming. The outcome is a collection of prints that have been layered and hand-marked, showing the tension between instability and control within healing, reflecting the experience of living beyond active trauma.
