Between Septembers is a personal documentary project about my first year in abroad as an international student. This project explores the quite shift in identity, memory, and belonging that slowly unfolds over time. This project revolves in between space of arrival, adapting and slowly finding a sense of a place while also holding moments of loneliness, uncertainty and adaptation. I am interested in how everyday experiences and incomplete memories can mix through to tell a deeper emotional story about change rather than showing a fixed conclusion, the work remains layered and open just like the experience itself. This series is a record of a year as well as reflection of my own experiences and how growth happens quietly through small and ordinary moments. I hope the work speaks to others who have felt the distance, vulnerability and gradual resilience in the process of becoming.
