Japanese Carpentry Hub is a preservation-focused adaptive reuse project transforming the disused Mokusan Wood Factory Store in Kamikatsu into a sustainable learning and restoration centre. The design supports traditional Japanese woodworking by incorporating local timber, interlocking joinery, and community-donated materials. The project champions minimal waste, celebrates imperfection through repair, and provides teaching workshops, exhibitions, and apprentice opportunities to pass on craftsmanship knowledge to future generations.
