For her Final Major Project, Brontë created set and costume designs for A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This design transports the audience to an otherworldly Ancient Athens where atmospheric lighting (with fireflies and overhead flowers that bloom and glow) guide the audience from the city to the woods where creature-like fairies on stilts shape the desires of Shakespeare’s lively Athenian characters. The Farnham Maltings is transformed with a unique combination of in the round/traverse staging where the actors can perform around and between seating, as well as the central performance area, to engage the audience in Shakespeare’s immersive and hilarious comedy.
