My showcase is a display that features a animation on loop. The animation is of a character I’ve termed Alter Puppet.
The character represents comfort aspects that are important to me. Such as the arms being similar to my cane, the white masking tape over the eyes represents my sunglasses. Key comfort things I see as an extension of myself. Even other aspects of comfort are expressed such as flowers and books/stories.
The alter puppet was made of wire, string, fabric and wood. Then it was 3d rendered and animated after rigging the 3d figure.
My animation is of the alter puppet running, falling then getting back up. It’s to symbolise how despite the barriers I face I’ll do my best to carry on. The background in the animation is of bookcases filled with books.
