This collection explores the portrayal of women within gothic literature and film, which often displays femininity as fragile and submissive. My jewellery represents transformation from fragile to strong by using cast lace as a metaphor for the female vampire, a monstrous depiction of strong, confident women who defy patriarchal expectations.
