Hima Bijoy

Making work that explores connections of comfort, and trying to replicate abjection that transgressive art finds in their viewers through found material sculpture, Hima’s work is a process-based exploration of the interaction between the viewer, the artist and the artwork. While also acknowledging the craft-like qualities and the question of gender in the collection of found material and the process of sewing, and bringing in the idea of innate connectedness in the abject and the feminine.
