Iona Clayson

I am a multidisciplinary artist, working in ceramics, soft sculpture, assemblage, printmaking, illustration and collage: Exploring themes of disability and womanhood. ‘Have you rested, love?’ inhabits collections of ceramic stones, soft walls, pillows and seats, flooded in warm colour and soft texture to play and soothe the senses, body and mind. Access to art in community and education settings has been an incredible aid for me, pulling me out of the depths every time. Cultivating creative care through this piece is to bridge the gap between healthcare services, accessible art and spaces that hold us together in an ever-changing, unstable world.
