This project explores how art can be used to bring music to life. I was interested in looking at the relationship between the two art forms, and how visual elements like shape and colour could be used to illustrate musical elements like instrument and sound textures. I created a series of 5 original tracks which I then created covers for, presented in CD cases. My illustrated covers were created from a range of drawings, paintings, prints, sculpture, photography and typography, all created based specifically on the sound and instrumentation of each track, which were hand collaged together. Each CD covers look represents the unique sound and genre of each track.
